AMAZON APOCALYPSE
Before Charles Darwin, Jean-Baptiste Lamarck was the first to publish a comprehensive theory of evolution.
This theory, known as Lamarckism or "transformism", proposed that organisms change and adapt to their environment through use and disuse of body parts, and that these adaptations are passed to their offspring.
​
A common example used to illustrate this is the giraffe; Lamarck proposed that giraffes were once proportionally comparable to deer, and that by stretching their necks to reach higher leaves on trees, they evolved to have longer necks over time.
​
​This prophetic Doom painting illustrates how such a stretching could threaten an impending apocalypse.

"Gather round fellow plebeians, come quickly as I hold urgent gospel that must be shared!
See you me before you friends, meek and mild, I stand atop this soapbox with a trembling voice for I have foreseen a prophecy awaiting itself to be fulfilled.
I, a humble servant of truth, fearfully offer my reputation in such harbingering, but the fate of life as we know it is at stake!
The Nordic wrote of it and the Mayans wrote of it, it is found written within Ancient Greek mythology and in modern pornography; look around you people, look at the signs! ​​
​ Our ancestors have been trying to
warn us! GIANTESSES. They are coming to CRUSH us! Titans of repentance, heralds of justice; they are coming to DESTROY us.
Amazons bearing long clawing fingernails and mile tall shoes grow larger and larger by the day; mothers birth wide shouldered daughters, daughters birth ox armed daughters.
How many generations will it take for us to see the truth? How many millennia's? They are bigger, they are better, they are faster, stronger, and smarter.
What was once impediments and hindrances have become tools of chaos, and the world that refused to acclimate will yield and crumble. ​
We now pay for these transgressions, yes! We await fatal consequences! Fools are we, for not knowing that where there is smoke, there is fire. We thought they are flowers? They are GUNS!

Can you stand to live under their heels? How far must we now run from the army we have created? How quickly?
​
I tell you now people, stay inside. Hide underground, fortify your bunkers. The retributive justice knocking at our doorstep is not petty, it is calculated. It is not lackadaisical, it is premeditated. It rejects triviality and embraces a resolute focus. It is HELLBENT.
Do not look to these walls for refuge, no. See the hairline fractures. This building
stands no
chance.
