CURATOR
The Queer Geobacter [ 2024 ]
Quartair, Den Haag
Organized by Queer Leiden University
An ode to the gut and queer (in)digestion.
Geobacter bacteria, connoisseur of the abject, finds sustenance in radioactive waste and biological pollutants.
Artists and audience members were asked to approach this through the lens of queer adaptation, and to consider what fullness means despite political dyspepsia.
With work by: Tehani Amarasuriya, Lukas Vonk, Erik Peters, Gabriel Kolesar, Mila Narjollet Guilloux, Sadie Girigorie, Shana de Villers, Rizq Naherta, Ipek Sahin, Braidon Hobzek, and Bel McLaughlin.
Forest Moderna [ 2022 ]
Grey Space In The Middle, Den Haag
By third-year IAFD students at KABK.
Co-curated with Tessa Koot.
Each student provided refuge for a specific herbage of their choice. They considered shelter, solitude, and sanctuary while asking, “are we out of the woods yet?”
With works by: Diederick Tutein Nolthenius, Dora Szilvasi-Lehy, Janina Bahvalova, Laureen Lamballais, Leonie Von Saldern, Sunhyo Mastenbroek, Alekseys Malisevs, Thijs Fisser, Hyuna Park, Enrique Torres, Laura Ajola and Josha Zwanenburg
Tomorrow Will Be Yours [ 2018 ]
Royal Academy of Arts, Den Haag
Self initiated group exhibition, alongside Ryan Lim and Max van Olffen.
On the demoralizing hope of tomorrow, and what it means to wait for a day that will never be today.
A singular set of stairs leads nowhere, suspended by an equally uninspiring breakfast. Visitors are invited to take 1 out of 365 rolled up photographs of the sky, taken each day of the year 2019. Landscape paintings show swollen paradise vistas and muddied yellow deserts, leaving viewers feeling swindled.

Textual Dramaturgy [ 2022 ]
